Prep Time: 2 hours

Cook Time: 15 minutes

Servings: 6 naans

Ingredients:

2 cups all-purpose flour

1/2 cup plain yogurt

1/2 cup warm milk

1 tsp sugar

1 tsp active dry yeast

1/2 tsp baking powder

Salt (to taste)

4 cloves garlic, minced

2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves

Butter (for brushing)

Instructions:

In a small bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes or until frothy. In a mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour, yogurt, baking powder, and salt. Add the yeast mixture to the flour mixture and knead to make a soft dough.

Let it rest in a warm place for 1-2 hours or until doubled in size. Preheat the oven to the broil setting and place a pizza stone or baking sheet inside. Divide the dough into small portions and roll each portion into an oval or round shape naan.

Sprinkle minced garlic and chopped coriander leaves on top of the naans and gently press them down.

Carefully place the naans on the hot pizza stone or baking sheet and broil for about 2-3 minutes or until golden and puffed. Brush the cooked naans with butter.

Serve hot with your favorite curry or accompaniment.
